Ex-super eagle star Daniel Amokachi coaches Finnish 3rd tier club Hercules for the first time in a friendly match against a 4th tier local rival club ACT on next Saturday 16:00 local time. Just few weeks ago football world was shocked with Amokachi’s decision to travel all the way up North to the Arctic city of Oulu and accept a job as Hercules’ head coach.
“It’s been very intensive first few weeks with the team”, says Amokachi. ”Team building is still under way and I’m getting to learn more about my players every day. This first friendly match is a good opportunity for my players to show me what they have and impress me”, he continues. “I’m expecting my team to be active, aggressive and fearless”, ends Amokachi.
Opponent ACT is a recently founded (2013) local team which has quickly raised through the lower divisions to the 4th tier of Finnish football. Team consists of young local players, who several have a history with more traditional Oulu teams such as OLS and AC Oulu.
The match starts at 16:00 (+2 CET) at Heinäpää indoor football hall. Free entrance.
