JS Hercules played against Haukiputaan Pallo reserve team late Saturday night in rather cold condititions. Matti Verronen gave something to cheer about for the brave spectators (all 8 of them) scoring a solid hatrick. The match ended 4-1 (1-0) for the home side.
The first half started in possession of Hercules whom kept the ball and concentrated on building attacks from their own half. Especially winger Jarkko Kortelainen kept getting good shooting chances which eventually led to the first goal of the match scored by him with a good accurate shot. HauPa reserves got a few chances too, but goalie Jussi Seppänen made a couple of saves and kept clean sheet. Teams went to the half time with 1-0 score to home team Hercules.
Three player changes on the half time mixed up the Hercules team a bit and HauPa reserves gained more control. A few good and timely accurate passes and movements by Tommi Päkkilä and Matti Verronen still made sure that Hercules was going to win this match. Verronen's finishing touch was calm and consistent in every chance he got and that led to the solid hat-trick. HauPa got the last goal of the match when their attacker intercepted a pass from goalie and scored on the empty net. Full time score 4-1.
